Adderbury Christmas Market – 21 November
The Adderbury Christmas Market is once again fast approaching and we’re sure you’re eager to get the date in your diary at the earliest opportunity! This year the great event will as usual be taking place at our wonderful St Mary’s Church in the village. A perfect venue for a truly lovely community event on the run up to Christmas. There will be stalls galore and the opportunity to buy teas, coffees, mulled wine and cakes, and of course to visit Santa in his grotto. The market opens to the public at 11.00 am and closes at 4.00 pm.
There will be cream teas in St Mary’s Church between 3.00 pm and 5.00 pm. Do come along and enjoy this FOSMA afternoon.
The Garden Party will be held in Manor House, Mill Lane between 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm by kind permission of Lady Jacomb. There will be lots of stalls as well as Punch and Judy. Entry is £5 for adults and includes tea and a piece of cake. Cash only (cards not accepted). All proceeds for the work of St Mary’s Church.
The 32nd staging of the needle match between Adderbury and Milton will be at Banbury Cricket Club starting at 1.00 pm. Adderbury will be defending the Millennium Trophy inaugurated as part of the village celebrations in 1995. We really need a passionate team of Adderburians. We’ve got the backbone of a side but we need five or six more stalwarts up for a game and a few beers. If you fancy a game phone Nick Fennell on 811059 or email 
Adderbury Ensemble will be playing in St Mary’s Church at 6.00 pm. The Ensemble are Anna Cashell violin, Chris Windass violin, Vanessa Mcnaught viola and Kath Sharman cello and will be playing Shostakovich String Quartet no.4 , Danish String Quartet arrangements and Fanny Mendelssohn String Quartet. Tickets at £20.00 are available at the door. Students and children under the age of 18 are admitted free if accompanied by an adult. (No admission for children under the age of 5.)
